Dani is an entrepreneur originally from New Orleans and formerly worked as a dental assistant front office manager. When their middle son began requiring extensive medical treatment for a serious eye condition that eventually led to blindness and the loss of one eye, Dani made the difficult decision to leave her job and devote herself fully to caring for her family.
Wanting to help ease the financial burden on Andrew, Dani launched her own small business, Driven by Faith Freshies, where she creates and sells soaps, lip balms, and car freshies. Her business not only helps provide for her family, but also serves as a way for Dani to share her faith while offering affordable, all-natural products. She also hosts Wednesday worship gatherings, creating a safe and welcoming space for others who share similar faith and values.
Andrew served 13 years in the Air Force, working his way up to Air Crew Chief as a senior enlisted member. He was recently commissioned into the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) and currently serves as an Ensign (O-1). He is expected to be promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade (O-2) this October. Together, Dani and Andrew are raising their three wonderful boys, ages 15, 13, and 6.
Faith is at the center of the Hamby family’s life, and they consider their children to be their greatest ministry. After enduring six heartbreaking miscarriages and a medically necessary hysterectomy, Dani felt God place adoption on their hearts. For six years, they prayed over this calling and believed they would one day grow their family through adoption. Now, they are stepping out in faith and beginning the journey to meet the child meant to become part of their family.

Dani and Andrew are just beginning their adoption journey. They have already found an adoption consultant and the organization that will complete their first home study. They hope this fundraiser will help cover the initial fees and expenses ahead.

Thank you all so much for coming together and supporting each family that is chosen. We are so blessed to have been chosen for family of the month. And update for those who are here :) we have our final visit of our home-study tomorrow 6/8/26. My husband is deploying Wednesday and I will be continue to work as hard as I can to get to our goal.
