Tasting notes: From light to dark roasts, this one progresses from tangerine to caramel to baking chocolate while maintaining a smooth, bold body. Recommend a FC+ roast, but is quite good at darker roasts, too.
This washed coffee comes from the indigenous communities of Apolo near the Andes and bordering the Amazon forest, many who still speak a form of Quechua that predates the Incas. Grown at 1700m by primarily women farmers, it is part of the "cocaine for coffee" program and is affiliated with a women-owned nonprofit called FECAFEB.
